GOG’s summer sale has kicked off and it’s brought a ton of free games, a major DRM-free lineup editor, and one of the best horror games on PC. Yes, Sega has finally joined the showcase and brought with it the release of Alien Isolation GOG, and that’s not all.
GOG’s next big sale has kicked off, June 6-27 with the usual selection of deals. GOG also confirms that there will be at least five separate games in the summer sale. You can grab the classic horror adventure game Sanitarium right now for free if you get it within 48 hours, and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate is also free, and apparently separate from the five advertised.
Perhaps the big news is that Sega has finally joined GOG.com. The Alien Isolation Collection is their first offering and consists of the best Alien game and all seven (!) DLC packs. It’s launching as part of a 75% off sale, so it’s a bargain if you haven’t yet experienced the delights of having the locker you were hiding in and your face eaten away by a toothy cosmic phallus.
GOG confirms that this won’t be Sega’s only in-store appearance, as Two Point Hospital and Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine are “coming soon,” just as we’re looking forward to their sequels Two Point Campus and Space Marine 2, too. Hopefully the Sonic the Hedgehog and Total War games won’t be far behind.
