A huge new Final Fantasy VII Remake mod has been released that scales, fixes, and enhances over 20,000 textures in the RPG to make it properly HD. In other words, this mod is a remake of Final Fantasy VII Remake, and it’s now available for a good amount of hard drive space.

Final Fantasy VII remains one of the best JRPGs on PC, and its long-awaited remake debuted on PC last year to great acclaim, despite some performance issues and high system requirements, especially in terms of disk space. Well, apparently a modder felt they weren’t tall enough.

The first version of the FF7 Remake HD Project mod is now available on NexusMods and adds 54 GB to the 100+ GB the game already takes up, not to mention performance. As for what Altezein’s mod does with that power, it scales over 20,000 textures in Final Fantasy VII Remake to make them more HD, upgrading the quality of “characters, enemies, weapons, environments” and even skyboxes throughout the game. .

You can take a look at some of the improved environments below. Although the remake looks great, as you can see in the video, it has a lot of surprisingly low resolution areas and objects. Look how chic these sandbags are.

Of course, the big question fans are asking right now is: Will Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 be released before Final Fantasy XVI releases next summer?
