The dolmen looked solid but disappointed in the end – INDIAN

Dolmen is a game that at first captivated me, but gradually somehow began to interfere. At every step other small Problemswhich ultimately influenced the way I look at the game itself.

Dolmen is really heavy action role playing game a game in which you look at the world where they crystals Dolmens are called very valuable, but also really dangerous, because they can connect two realities and cross them. Your task is to run to the intersection, get rid of all the monsters and return the crystals. The problem is that other beings will gradually start interfering.

Once you start playing, everything is fine. Animations… good. The character’s movements… that’s okay too. But there was always a feeling that something was wrong. That my character is floating on the ground in a strange way, that I can’t fully control where I dodge, and that the enemies Strongerthan it would make complete sense. You’re great at killing the first few bugs, but another bug that looks pretty much the same suddenly becomes extremely heavy, and the problem is that it’s hard to tell who’s stronger and who isn’t.

Likewise, the feel of the fight is just… ok. And this is the biggest problem of Dolmen. The whole game works, it’s playable, but it can never cross that line, so you’re on a fine line between “but yeah, I’ll finish it” and “it’s just not fun.”

So, in the beginning, you create a character and get a few things. Melee weapon or shield, ranged weapon and one reactor. Depending on which equipment you choose, yours will also change. attributes. These include strength, stamina, energy, and more, each of which changes what your character can do and which weapons are stronger or which armor you can wear. In principle, what we already know well from similar games. You get upgrades with currencieswhich drops from your enemies, but if you die, you return to the last storage location and get one chance to take the lost money back from your corpse. If you die again, they will disappear forever, and if you get there, they may remain the same. away.

But the advantage is that you do not need money for weapons and armor, but only materialwhich can drop from enemies, bosses, or can be found in breakable objects. You can also get some materials if you find friendly characters.

Sounds good, but the problem is that there are weapons. small, so you just decide three things. You want a heavy weapon, a medium weapon with a shield, or a fast weapon. You can upgrade this weapon with other items and power it up a bit, but you will still quickly feel that this weapon just isn’t enough.

But still there is a slight difference technology you use. As mentioned, weapons and armor require materials, and they come from three different sources. And depending on the types you have the most, you get different bonuses, which I found a little… insignificant.

Yes, and I already mentioned the reactor. What means? Well, he will throw you a natural bonus for a prize energy. And I never really used it because the bonus was minimal and the energy is much more useful for firearms. Yes, your firearm will be your best friend. He needs energy to shoot, and there he fights with himself.

Energy is really the most important thing in the game. For example, you use it for treatment. Once you’re healed, your energy is gone forever and you have to replenish it with an item as well as some special rockets. On the other hand, normal shooting does not consume energy completely and can be recharged. In short, once you’re healed, you won’t be able to shoot again until you recharge your batteries, which is really interesting. The only problem for me was that it really takes a long time to charge the article, so it’s hard to find a moment to replenish your energy, because most enemies and bosses rarely give you such a moment.

Speaking of bossehhow are they? They are obviously a big part of the game. Enemies are basically just a brake before you get to the bosses, and they are…unfortunately boring.

The problem is just that most of the bosses are boring and just take too long to kill and if you make one mistake you will go to hell because some attacks give you one shot no matter how strong you are. First of all, the Queen Caniptei boss is just poorly made the boss. Run. Avoid the only free space. Run, run again. Hide yourself. And then the whole arena shrinks to a tiny space around the boss itself, with little room to dodge. If you don’t jump, the boss will hit you. If you jump too much, the ground will hit you.
