The development of the Czech action adventure 1428: Shadows over Silesia is slowly coming to an end. Developers from the studio KUBI Games recently released on Steam free demothanks to which you can try the first chapter of the game.

The demo is part of the upcoming Steam Next Fest, which features demos of a number of current games, among other things. To release the full version of the game, it was scheduled for September 6th. The classic Steam digital version will be complemented by a physical version, which will be available in Xzone.

“14:28: Shadows over Silesia caught our attention in Xzone immediately after the announcement. Historical setting of the period of the Hussite sleepy cavalry and a dark fantasy story? Classic old-school puzzles and isometric graphics? Only Czech hands can do this”, describes Martin Schovanek, co-owner of Xzone, why this game will be the seventh expansion for the Xzone Edition.

It’s been confirmed in the past Czech localization as a dub from the Fénix ProDabing group. The game also boasts various blind accessibility features. The story offers a narrative from the point of view of two main characters – the disgruntled Hussite captain Hynek and the knight St. John Lothair, whose fates are gradually intertwined. The game time should be move about thirty hours.

You can learn more about 1428: Shadows over Silesia from our previous preview, or from the still fresh gaming experience we received at the Game Access Developers Conference.

The author of the game, Piotr Kubitschek, describes his work as follows:

1428: Shadows over Silesia is a dark fantasy action-adventure set in real medieval Europe. Set against the backdrop of real historical events, challenging puzzles and difficult fights await you, as well as stealth passages and important decisions. You will meet possessed devil worshipers, sexual demons, hellish creatures, as well as creatures known from European mythology. Religious storms are sweeping across Europe, and many preachers are predicting the end of the world. The year is 1428, and the Hussite campaign in Silesia is just beginning. Heretics seem to be the biggest danger to a country without a king. However, the real evil lurks somewhere else and does not plan to have religious disputes.”
