Of all the great Elden Ring mods that have appeared in FromSoftware’s RPG, the random Elden Ring enemy mod is perhaps the scariest. Back in April, it was confirmed to be in development, and now it’s finally here, and it’ll also work in co-op.
There are many fantastic PC game randomization mods, but the ones designed for games like Dark Souls are the most intense. Modder Matt ‘thefifthmatt’ Gruen previously released an Elden Ring item randomization mod, but fiance that a combo mod is in development that randomizes both items and enemies.
Well, it’s now available for download on Nexus Mods. If you downloaded a random item, it is an update for the same mod. The mod randomizes “items found in the world, items in the shop, enemies and bosses that drop, and character startup”, though this can all be configured through a simple options window, so if you want the mod replace all enemies in the game with the strongest Elden Ring boss you can make (see below).
Matt describes the mod as “complete”, but expects it to receive “many more fixes and features” in future updates. A player on the Nexus forum confirms that the randomizer works with the recently released Seamless Co-op mod, so if he’s looking for a particularly chaotic challenge for his friends, this might be the way to go.
Elden Ring Enemy Randomizer is fully provisioned for its first release, though it still has many more fixes and features. You can customize it to create many kinds of fun races. Or you can do… that. (spoilers for the last bosses)

For more Elden Ring mod adventures, there are great mods for Harry Potter, Star Wars, and Legend of Zelda, not to mention Elden Ring VR, if you’re up for the challenge.
