As we found out, we’re big fans of video game rats in those parts, and it’s no secret that we’re also fascinated by Skyrim mods. That’s why we’re so excited about this new Skyrim mod that adds giant rats to the RPG. Note that these aren’t just rats, they come in a variety of exotic colors.
gg77’s Scrolls for Rats Companions mod adds a whole rainbow of possible giant rats to Skyrim. These designer rats come in a surprising variety of colors and patterns: in addition to the standard black and white rats, there are striped rats, zebra rats, and ocelot rats. However, they only come in one size: large.
Once you have installed the mod, you can acquire a Rat Companion by visiting Whiterun and buying a special Rat Scroll from Hulda in Prancing Mare or from Belethor in the General Goods Store. Find the scroll in your inventory, drop it on the ground, and poof! Your rat will appear, ready to follow you to the deepest tombs and highest peaks of Skyrim.
Unfortunately, you can only have one giant rat at a time. You will need to return your current rat before you can try a new one with a different coat pattern.
