Sniper Elite 5 Developers Won’t Release WWII Setting Anytime Soon

Like Rebellion’s Sniper Elite 5, Sniper Elite 4, and its predecessors, World War II is set during World War II. While that’s hardly surprising, it raises the question of whether fans will be able to see Karl Fairburne’s life after that turbulent 1940s period or whether the series will take on a new main character in an entirely new setting. That’s exactly what we asked Rebellion, and Jordan Woodward, Design Manager at Rebellion, answered.

When asked if Karl Fairburne’s story had an end in sight and why World War II was a backdrop for the rebellion’s return, Woodward replied, “I’m not going to divulge anything about the future. by Karl Fairburne. . . , but II. We strongly believe that World War II and the events surrounding it provided a fascinating and challenging setting for the show.

Woodward then said:[World War 2] We still have a lot to discover, if not one of the greatest and most iconic events in human history.

After dropping five Sniper Elite games and a handful of Zombie Army games during WWII, Rebellion doesn’t seem to be entering another era any time soon.

Woodward discusses the rationale behind the choice of settings and states that Rebellion “uses real-world events and references as inspiration for the story and structure of Sniper Elite games. [Rebellion] It takes an angle of what could have been and what was impossible at the time. ”

Of course, the barrel-mounted objective of many 2nd Karl Fairburne and sniper rifles of the Rebellion and Sniper Elite series has not yet been mentioned.
