Modern Warfare 2’s release date has been announced with an exciting new trailer, and fans of the series will be able to play the new first-person shooter on October 28, 2022.
The new trailer doesn’t show gameplay or even CGI visuals, but instead head-on shots of the game’s main characters zooming in on a real shipyard with a drone. While most are recognizable from previous Modern Warfare games like Captain Price and Soap, we are introduced to a character never seen before. According to this Charlie Intelit’s Alexander.
Each character’s designs, including Gaz and Ghost, also include parts of a map layer that resemble certain parts of the world. Ghost’s artifact looks like Mexico, but the community is currently trying to decipher the others.
During the trailer, the drone also zooms in on a container that says “J.8.22” next to it – a date that’s said to be an official trailer.
