Bandai Namco announced many news to celebrate 42nd birthday from Pac-Manone of the most important characters in video game history, including video games and an official song. The first attempt will be the release of Pac-Man Museum+, a new anthology that will be released for PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One starting May 27, 2022. It will also be playable in backward compatibility on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S. Let’s just say that it will be playable on Xbox Game Pass as well.
By purchasing the collection, you’ll take home 14 Pac-Man games, some of which haven’t been available for years, and a fully customizable sandbox arcade game with a clearly character theme. Let’s read about other initiatives:
A new song and music video is also available today. “We are PAC-MAN!” Titled and voiced by Kaho Kidoguchi in Japanese and English and Ann Una in Chinese. The song aims to promote cooperation and connection between people to live healthier lives.
Joining the celebrations is Fortnite, where Epic Games will host a range of PAC-MAN-themed cosmetics on June 2, giving players the opportunity to show all their love for this iconic character.
Also, thanks to new partnerships, PAC-MAN’s presence is strengthened even outside the world of video games. Starting June 6, the PAC-MAN x EASTPAK collection will be available at participating retailers (EMEA, USA and South Korea) with new bags, suitcases and bags. For tourists visiting Paris, Yooma Urban Lodge Paris Tour Eiffel will turn into a PAC-MAN labyrinth thanks to the gripping decorations placed in the entrance hall, courtyard and corridors. However, the Computerspielemuseum, which encourages everyone to relive history in Berlin, can be reached by the PAC-MAN themed U-Bahn 5 train.
