Here’s what zAAz said in his farewell letter to his fans:
†It’s time to say goodbye to competitive games. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but it’s time to move on and set new goals to achieve. Ending my career with a victory meant a lot to me. I finished in CS 1.5 to CS 1.6, then CS:GO and VALORANT – 20 years of gaming experience with many incremental trophies. I’m proud of myself and deserve to be called a legend.
I was 11 when I started playing. Even at that age, I knew what I wanted to be the best at international level. It wasn’t an easy road, but that didn’t matter. Everything I’ve done, achieving my goal and everything I’ve sacrificed has been worth every tear and sweat.
I’ve accomplished a lot in my career and learned a lot from esports. I made a lot of new friends from all over the world, I saw many countries, I gained a lot of experience and all thanks to esports. I am also very happy to be an inspiration to other young women. It really warms my heart.†
Along with remembering everything that happened in his career, the former player also said he wouldn’t quit esports:I can’t see myself working with anything else“mentioned.
†In Malmö, Sweden, I will work in youth/player training and esports, specifically Counter-Strike and VALORANT, and pass on my experience to them. Finding new talents will be my new mission. I always dreamed of what I would do when I retired. [como atleta]† I don’t see myself working with anything other than esports. Sport is my passion and always will be.says zAAz.
G2 Esports tried to do the same while considering the next generation. New to zAAz on the VALORANT Women’s Team, Mary will be making her Tier 1 female debut at age 16. The new member will play alongside Glance under the tutelage of other legends of the female scene such as mimimi, Petra and Juliano, the practically inseparable friend of zAAz.
