Just a few hours after launch new versions of PlayStation Plus In Asia, interesting information about classic games from previous PlayStation eras is appearing on the Internet.
We have good news for those who don’t want to pay for PS Plus Premium and want to own games. PlayStation classic will be available for purchase on the PS Store. Until now, the titles have appeared separately in the Malaysian version of the PS Store. Oddworld Abe’s Odyssey, Worms Armageddon and World Worms Party from PS1. The price of the first two is 20 ringit, that is, 4 euros, and the Worms World Party is 39 ringit, that is, about 9 euros.
The higher price is probably justified by the availability multi-user online support at the Worms World Party, prices seem to be determined by individual publishers, but it’s likely that Sony has set the ideal cap of €9.99 for PlayStation 1 and PSP classics.
Some games have three different graphic filters called Default, Retro Classic with a CRT filter evoking the visual effects of old TVs and Modern. There is also a feature rewind game moments and other graphics options such as 4:3 or 16:9 display mode, the ability to play in full screen or native resolution. Some PS1 games must have trophiesbut it is not clear if this feature will be rolled out to all games or not.
In addition, there are two games in the catalog that are not listed. This is about Ridge Racer 2 from PSP and Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee from the first PlayStation. Both games have a quick save, rewind and improved technical side.
In Europe, including the Czech Republic and Slovakia, the new PlayStation Plus version will launch on June 23 this year. The full list of games is here.
