[cita01]”We’re big fans of the fights at Tribute Games,” designer Frederic Gemus told us“Some of our colleagues have even worked on other games in the genre, such as Scott Pilgrim vs. The World The Game or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the GameBoy Advance.” What are your favorites in the genre? The artist quoted Konami’s Turtles games, The Simpsons Arcade, Final Fight, Double Dragon, and River City Ransom, but also had the words to praise his colleagues at Guard Crush Games, developers of the worthy Streets of Rage 4: Obviously, and as Dotemu partners like us, we’re also big fans of the Streets of Rage franchise, and its latest installment, Streets of Rage 4, is one of the best games of its kind!”
About April’s appearance in the game, Gemus admitted to us that Tribute Games’ idea was to “make it unique”. and he has a fighting style that suits both his personality and the fact that he’s not actually a turtle. He also wanted him to fight wearing some of his reporter clothes because it was iconic to him.”

It’s not the first time April has been controlled in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game.. In fact, the long-awaited Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection includes Tournament Fighters, a game in which April is one of the selectable fighters on the MegaDrive software. On this occasion, April “will be a very fast and flexible character for players who want to make visually great combos because of her agility. We wanted to make sure that April is a fun and strong lead character as much as the rest of the cast!”.
