Acer showed a gaming laptop with a 3D display, special glasses are not needed

This year’s Next @ Acer press conference brought interesting revelations. Acer showed a laptop with a 3D display that does not require special glasses. There are other new gaming laptops and monitors out there.

Soon it will be possible to experience 3D space without having to buy professional hardware and software. The SpatialLabs program originally focused more on content creators and professionals, but now it’s aimed at gamers as well. The Acer Predator Helios 300 SpatialLabs Edition gaming laptop features a dedicated display that allows you to play stereoscopic 3D games without the need for special glasses.

The laptop uses a combination of eye tracking, a dedicated display, and real-time image rendering technology. The 15.6-inch screen consists of an Ultra HD resolution panel with an attached LCD lens. Together, these technologies form a single entity that allows you to switch between 2D and 3D views. You don’t need glasses to display it.

The new SpatialLabs TrueGame program will be used to run 3D games. This is an application that will ensure that one of the 50 games will run with a pre-built 3D profile, while others will increase rapidly.

The laptop features a top-notch Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card, a 12th Gen Intel Core i9 processor, 32GB DDR5 RAM, and a fast PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD. Cooling is provided by Acer CoolBoost technology, which uses liquid metal as a heat exchanger. This unique item will hit the market in September.

If two sizes are enough, you can get one of the pair of updated Predator Triton 300 SE gaming laptops. Acer is equipped with 12th generation Intel Core processors, RTX 3000 graphics and a new 16:10 aspect ratio OLED panel. In addition to the 14-inch version, a 16-inch version will be available with a state-of-the-art 240Hz display and Nvidia G-Sync support.

Both laptops use 5th generation AeroBlade 3D fans with Vortex Flow technology to promote smooth airflow and heat dissipation. Here, Acer has also used liquid metal for maximum cooling. Notebooks Predator Triton 300 SE will arrive on store shelves in June.

We were not even deprived of two new gaming monitors. The first is part of the Predator series (designation XB273K LV) and attracts with a combination of 4K resolution and a refresh rate of 160 Hz. At 27 inches, you can enjoy not only computer games or movies, but also play on the console. HDMI 2.1 and VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification are not missing.

The cheaper Nitro XV272U RV will offer QHD resolution and up to 170Hz at the same diagonal. You’ll also enjoy HDR with VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and Acer hasn’t forgotten about AMD’s FreeSync Premium technology, which supports variable refresh rates.

Both monitors will go on sale in the third quarter of this year. The Nitro XV272U RV monitor will cost €399, while the Predator XB273K LV will start at €949.
