Phil SpencerHead of Microsoft’s gaming division, commented Announcement via Twitter Starfield and Redfall’s Advice By 2023, news that has shocked much of the Xbox community. Of course, he tried to be as distant and diplomatic as possible, given the general reaction:

Spencer: “These decisions are difficult for the teams developing the games and for our fans. I fully support the choice to give the teams time to launch these great games when they’re ready, but we’re still listening to the comments. We expect continuity and quality from us and we will continue to work not to betray these expectations.

The postponement of Redfall and Starfield is definitely news of the day. Given the size of the two projects, especially the one being developed by Bethesda, many were expecting it, but the news was still very poorly received by the Xbox community, which currently doesn’t see 2022 specials on the horizon.

Hopefully Xbox Game Studios will announce something during the June 2022 event because there is a real need for it.
