The Finnish studio Remedy has a habit of updating investors on the status of all planned projects quite often and regularly. However, at the same time, he also actively informs the players and fans, as a result of which they often they repeat and reveal the same information and the same announcements, although there is nothing new in them.

This is no different from the last meeting with investors. Here, for the first time, it was confirmed that Alan Wake 2 is still in the production stage, and a cooperative spin-off with a working designation Condor, which largely follows Control, is still in the state of testing the game concept. In the case of the recently announced remake of games, nothing has changed Max Payne and Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne and a project with a working title Heronwhich is described as a larger header following the Control. Both of these activities are only in the conceptual phase.while creating a prototype in connection with Heron.
All of these games will use the proprietary Northlight engine.which Remedy has already used in the development of Quantum Break, Control and single-player campaigns for CrossfireX and Crossfire HD. Therefore, the developers responsible for Northlight are focused on developing the necessary technologies and tools that will be used in the development of Remedy games in the coming years. Slightly aside a free co-op game with a working label Vanguard. This is also in the concept testing stage of the game, but the reason for the certain difference is that thanks to Chinese Tencent will come out and on mobile phones and that it doesn’t use Northlight, but Unreal Engine.
But we all know this already, so different information is important and really new. The creators of Remedy have announced to investors that they intend to release a total of four games between 2023 and 2025.. Unfortunately, they did not specify which ones, but there are not many options. Alan Wake 2 is due out next year, while Vanguard is in development, or at least has been in the works for a few years.. Condor is also clearly not at the very beginning of development, so the question remains whether the fourth game will be Heron or Max Payne 1 and 2 remake (this is how the project is now designated on the official Remedy website).
However, we assume that the remake of the first two parts of the Max Payne trilogy will be released before the new full-fledged game from the world of Control., especially when it must be preceded by a cooperative Condor. Both games will be published by 505 Games as well as Control, with Max Payne of course choosing Rockstar as the publisher, which has already released the original 2001 and 2003 versions of both games.
Finally, one more interesting thing. Remedy has not yet received a share of the profits from the project Alan Wake Remastered, as Epic Games Publishing, which will also publish Alan Wake 2, has yet to recover development and marketing costs. By the way, Remedy has the same agreement with Rockstar, so the Finnish studio will receive a share of the profits associated with the remakes of the first and second Max Payne only when the costs of Rockstar financing the entire development are returned.
