Finnish studio Remedy clearly loves anniversaries, as evidenced by the fact that we received a special video to mark the 12th anniversary of the thriller Alan Wake, in which Remedy’s creative director Sam LakeAlan Wake’s face Ilkka Willi and the voice of Alan Wake Matthew Porretta returns to the story of the famous writer. At the very beginning of the video, we received an announcement that Alan Wake Remasteredreleased last fall on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, because it will also be released on Switch.

The Nintendo game port for the console has been discussed before, but officially its existence has become known only now. Unfortunately, Remedy doesn’t currently have a release date.so we won’t recognize it at the right time. Which, to a certain extent, applies to serial adaptations. Alan Wake for TV screens was announced a few years ago, namely in September 2018. However, Sam Lake confirmed that work on the series is still ongoing. What’s more, AMC just bought it for him.which, in particular, fans of the series may know The living Dead (The walking Dead) Breaking Bad (Breaking Bad).

We know from the past that the production company Contradiction Films is to blame, in particular Peter Calloway (Cloak and Dagger, Legion), which should have been at hand from Sam Lake himself. We’ve talked about this before too. The original 2010 game is conceived by the creators of the series as a starting pointupon which the larger story must be built.

Lake, Willy, and Porretta also talk about the behind-the-scenes development of the series in the video, so we can take a look at samples from the motion capture process. In addition, thanks to mutual cooperation, all three have the opportunity to get closer and on the go to study the character and depth of Alan Wake, which is one of the goals of the second part. Alan Wake 2 presented itself to us at the end of last year in the form of a short teaser, which now complements several concepts. In the sequel, we will find out who Alan really is and see more emotions on his part.. With Remedy choosing the Survival Horror genre this time around, there will also be more pressure on the protagonist.

Although development of the game seems to be going well and most of it is already playable, Sam Lake also shared some bad news in the video. During the presentation of the project at The Game Awards, he said that more new Alan Wake will be presented this summer. However, in the end, the developers came to decision not to show anything big in the summer. We can forget about the bigger presentation of Alan Wake 2 during Gamescom or other big events. For the time being, Remedy staff should be focusing on developing the best possible game. and not create a demo that will fully showcase Alan Wake 2. We’ll have to wait a little longer for a full demo and a full trailer.

Alan Wake 2 will be released in 2023 in versions for PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
