Italian 3D artist Lorenzo Drago v. Unreal Engine 5 has created a detailed train station that shows what games might look like in the future thanks to state-of-the-art technology from Epic Games. We can also get an idea of how the global lighting system called Lumen can be used.
Be sure to watch the video. This is interesting not only from the point of view of Lots of details and graphicswhich is almost indistinguishable from reality, but also in terms of effects. Thanks to Lumen, Drago was able to create an atmosphere that most horror films would not be ashamed of. Just imagine these sudden dark effects being used in a scary scene.
Lorenzo Drago close up created on the basis of the railway station in Toyama, Japan. It shows us everything through a high resolution render with a VR camera. You may notice some flaws, but you must understand that this was created by one person per month. Now imagine that these tools are in the hands of experienced developers, studios that employ hundreds of people. It’s just a matter of what modern consoles and regular computer kits say. In the end, the difference is putting together a short tech demo and putting together the whole game.
Unreal Engine 5 will be used by a number of companies including CD Project RED for New Sorcerer, Crystal Dynamics for Larry Croft’s new adventure in Tomb Raider, Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 and new projects from the authors of the Gears series.
