We already mentioned this in the article about new gameplay footage, but we think it deserves a separate post. And Warner Bros. they decided to cancel the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions Gotham Knights. The upcoming action adventure will be released on October 25 this year only on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.

We didn’t know the exact reason. The press release only states that developers want to give players the best gaming experience. This would most likely not be possible on older generation consoles. After all, just look at how Cyberpunk 2077 turned out from the RED Project disc.

Purely next-gen problems also Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, a new game from Rocksteady Studios (the creators of the Batman Arkham series), which will be released in the spring of 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. It looks like the last game from WB Games for the old generation will be Hogwarts legacyhowever, even here, there have been previous suggestions to focus only on the next generation.

But back to Gotham Knights. The story takes place after Batman’s supposed death and offers playing as Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin and Red Hood. These superheroes are trying to protect the streets of Gotham from criminals.
