Overwatch 2 it came in beta format and soon gained success Twitch, possibly because test codes were shared as drops during live streams. But after just a week, the game has lost almost all of its audience on the streaming platform.
Overwatch 2, we remember, touched more 1.4 million viewers contemporaries thus making it into the all-time Twitch Top 10 for the gaming side. But it seems that much of the excitement was about the news and the possibility of getting a beta code. Within a week, viewership had dropped tremendously, almost to the point of canceling.
Dexerto reports numbers 1,400 spectators and even at the time of writing this figure is between 1,600 and 1,700. Obviously a drop is natural, but the difference between the peak and the current numbers is significant.
The public’s reaction to the Overwatch 2 beta has been mixed, with positive comments and various criticisms specific to the issues in this release. Unsurprisingly, Blizzard agreed to agree with the feedback from many fans, deciding to reveal what’s going to change in the beta following player feedback.
