Thanks to the series, the story of Last of Us will become more meaningful

Footage from the filming of the series appeared on the network The last of usthis confirms that the new HBO hit will show the events leading up to the game’s story. In particular, as a group known as Fireflies takes control Pittsburgh and get rid of the organization PHEDRA.

The footage was filmed in downtown Calgary and shows military units moving through the streets of the city. Trucks are passing by, red flares are bursting from the surrounding buildings, festive shooting can be heard and seen. The extras that make up the crowd on the streets seem to be shouting “Freedom!” and “To hell with FEDRA!”.

In the second video from the shooting we may see Bella Ramsey as Elliewhich reaches through a small gap, then bypasses it and opens the door to get inside Joel Pedro Pascal. This is exactly the same scene from The Last of Us by Naughty Dog.

We already know it won’t be a 100% adaptation of the PlayStation blockbuster. This also confirms Geoffrey Piercewho plays a new character named Perry.

Pierce described Perry as a completely new character who is part of a new branch that makes a huge difference to what happened in the game. It should reveal things related to the game. And thanks to them everything should make more sense.

The series will likely premiere next year.
