PS5: How does VRR work? Let’s see the list of compatible and incompatible TVs

PS5 finally got support VRRit is variable refresh rate, but before at least it looks like this application functionality isn’t very consistent with a number of TVs where this happens. it works also a few models where VRR on PS5 doesn’t work properly or completely.

The update with VRR was released yesterday and there is currently no official information from Sony about supported models or issues encountered, but we can count on the Reddit community, which has compiled and tested an extensive list of supported TV models. The PS5 VRR and the list of TVs and monitors whose functionality appears not to be properly supported or not working at all, are all here.

For the rest, according to tests, it turns out functionality instead. Working properly on most of the remaining TV and monitor models. Especially in the list we see that it works smoothly on LG TVs such as OLED B, C and G series (except for the BX with a certain color crush) and NanoCell ones. Most Samsungs will work by choosing FreeSync in Gaming mode, but there are some bad app cases, so much so don’t recommend using VRR like NU8500, Q6FN and Q8FN. Its functions also include various TCL, HiSense and Philips and various Gigabyte, LG, Asus and Samsung monitors.

Despite the fact that VRR is coming to PS5 with a certain delay, the app doesn’t look perfect yet because of this, but it will probably come in time advanced Meanwhile, the Digital Foundry has also conducted various tests, expanding it to currently unsupported models awaiting further information and study on the subject.
