Chief game designer Robert Kurvitz Disc Elysiumeither decided statement development studio ZA / UMcontributed to the making of the game with it. This is a continuation of the story told a few weeks ago that some key members of the team were fired for misleading reasons, one of the exiles, Martin Luiga, reported.
In addition to contributing to the game, Kurvitz, who wrote the novel on which Disco Elysium is based, filed a criminal complaint against ZA/UM in the Estonian court through his company Telomer OÜ. The preliminary hearing will be held on 28 November 2022.
For now, there is no official confirmation on the matter other than that of Luiga, who received the original news in a tweet.
Another confirmation can be obtained by doing a search on the website of the Estonian Ministry of Grace and Justice Riigi Teataja, which shows that Kurvitz’s company has made a formal request to obtain information and documents from ZA / UM.
The content of the complaint was not disclosed. The possibility is that Kurvitz wants to acquire the rights to Disco Elysium to realize his idea for the “What Baldur’s Gate 2 is to Baldur’s Gate” sequel.
