Final Fantasy 7 RebirthThe second installment of the FF7 Remake trilogy may diverge even further from the original story, according to a new statement from one of the game’s developers. Unknown Assets will not be able to trade to keep the timeline unchanged.

Motomu ToriyamaThe game’s co-director wrote on the Square Enix blog dedicated to Final Fantasy 7 Remake: “As we read at the end of the game, ‘The journey to the Unknown will continue,’ and Cloud and his friends will be on the way for a while. . From now on, Unknown Entities preserve the original timeline. He won’t be able to act on it, so fans can’t wait to see what future awaits the team.”
