A Plague Tale: Requiem no 4K on PS5 and Xbox Series despite 30fps, reveals a video comparison

ElAnalistaDeBits published a video comparing A Plague Tale: Lamentation On PS5, Xbox Series X, S and PC. From the analysis, Studio Asobo game Does not reach 4K resolution on consoles (40 fps with a 120Hz screen), although the game is fixed at 30 fps.

According to YouTuber, A Plague Tale: Requiem is a 1440p and 30fps on both PS5 and Xbox Series X and at 1080p and 30fps on Xbox Series S. Frame count goes up to 40fps on 120Hz TVs and monitors. So we’re talking about very different performances compared to other games that have come out on consoles in the last two years, often allowing a choice between at least 4K or 60fps, in some cases both available.

According to ElAnalistaDeBits, the Xbox Series X version of A Plague Tale: Requiem is the most stable of these consoles. However, the PS5 has performance issues in some areas, especially in open areas with mice. Other than that, graphically the two versions are basically the same.

On the other hand, the PC version is the version with more vegetation and better peripheral occlusion, shadows and anisotropic filter. Provided you have a very performant configuration, as described in our A Plague Tale: Requiem review. ElAnalistaDeBits also reports that the game does not currently support ray tracing, which will be added in an update.
