Microsoft has released a cheaper updated white version of the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller. The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Wireless Controller retails for €129.99 (compared to €179.99 for the black model), but it doesn’t come with all the replaceable joysticks, pads and case. But you can quickly convert it to an upgraded version by purchasing a separate accessory pack for an extra $59.99.
You’ll also soon be able to go even further with this model and the standard Elite Series 2 controller by heading to the paid Xbox Design Lab, which lets you choose custom colors and patterns.
The Core controller will be available on September 21, but you can pre-order it on the official Xbox site today. If you want to have the Design Lab version of this controller or its sibling, you’ll probably have to wait, as Design Lab won’t support those models until the end of the year.
