More games, but only one controller
Compared to the 2019 Mega Drive Mini, the new model is more compact (120.8mm x 32.3mm x 116.5mm) and has a larger storage capacity, which is 53 classics (Alien Soldier, Fatal Fury 2, Bonanza. Bros…) and 7 bonus games (Devi & Pii, Star Mobile, Space Harrier I & II, VS Puyo Puyo Sun…).
The list also includes 12 titles from the Mega CD catalog such as Ecco: The Tides of Time, Night Striker, Shining Force CD, The Ninja Warriors…
While its predecessor had two controllers, the SEGA Mega Drive 2 comes with a single 6-button controller. Note that controllers from previous versions are compatible with Mega Drive 2.
