Embracing Group would be looking for agreement with astonishmentGoing beyond Marvel’s Avengers, in light of the recent acquisition of Square Enix’s western division, which also includes Marvel’s Avengers developers Cystal Dynamics and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy developers Eidos Montreal. This was reported by Miller, a generally well-informed, insider about the facts about Eidos.
Marvel’s Avengers and Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy are two risky intellectual properties that have resulted in Square Enix’s $200 million deficit, despite strong appeal to the public.
However, according to Miller, work on Marvel’s Avengers will continue despite everything because Embracer is still interested in the characters of the Disney company. So players can expect more playable characters and new story-related content.
The deal Miller’s talking about should be about new games, about which nothing is known yet. The future of Marvel’s Avengers is also partly cloudy. As stated, it will continue to be supported, but it’s unclear if Embracer wants changes to try and revive it.
