The Last of Us Episode 1: Phil Spencer praises Naughty Dog for its accessibility options

Phil SpencerHead of Microsoft’s Xbox division congratulated the team naughty dog for the many accessibility options it includes The Last of Us Part 1.

“It’s really impressive to see Naughty Dog’s commitment to accessibility. The studio continues to innovate from game to game and make their games accessible to more players. The work of Neil Druckmann and his team is an inspiration.” reading Phil Spencer. The tweet posted under the Naughty Dog post, where The Last of Us Part 1 remake offers more than 60 accessibility options.

Here is Naughty Dog’s response:

“We’re excited about the progress our talented developers are making in various areas of accessibility, and it’s an industry-wide effort to keep looking for new ways to make games more accessible. Thank you very much!”.

Microsoft Xbox has long been at the forefront of making gaming accessible to gamers with physical disabilities. The most prominent example of these efforts is the Xbox Adaptive Controller, a highly customizable modular peripheral designed to meet any need.

In recent years, PlayStation Studios teams have also increased their interest in accessibility. Examples include Horizon Forbidden West and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, as well as God of War: Ragnarok, which will feature more than 60 specials.
