The next-gen edition of What Remains of Edith Finch, available July 28, has a dynamic resolution that almost always runs at the same speed. 4K real and 60fps on PlayStation 5 and on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S things unfortunately work differently.
In fact, Microsoft’s next-gen cheap platform doesn’t go beyond 1080p, but it’s mostly targeting 30fps for most series, and there are short variations at 60fps that prove surprisingly smooth and stable.
Overall, the work done by the developers looks solid and the experience gains a lot from a visual standpoint, which is noticeably less defined and fluid compared to the PS4 version.
