It’s been almost a year since Naraka: Bladepoint was released and it has breathed new life into the Battle Royale market. The sword’s vision of action and frenzied combat has captivated many players. The market supported 24 Fun now, it has brought Naraka to Game Pass after its debut in the eSports world. On the occasion of the game’s anniversary, one of the surprises ready to be released in the game will be a new map: Holoroth.
We saw the new scenario in action and we will tell you about it in our own scenario. Naraka Holoroth Map Preview: Bladepoint.
oriental art
Ingeniously, Holorth is a long way from the previous map, Morus Island. While their size will be more or less the same, the biomes that make up the playing field will be very different. The morphological structure will focus on five points of interest linked by the interconnection of segments of various types. But the basic idea is only one: to offer more verticality.
this five points of interest These will be: Feathered Fortress, Mehtaab Desert, Tang City, Empyreal Village, and Yushan Ruins. Different environments that will bring different fun interactions and also well-defined artistic aspects: hot and oppressive environments in the desert, fascinating snow-covered expanses and tents in the village, and finally, for example, a castle full of mystery and history.
Navigating the map (we didn’t see any fights) gave us an overview of the care 24 Entertainment took in positioning each item that would captivate and encourage the player. As we know, the artistic basis of the game takes references from all eastern cultures without any discrimination. This selection emerges powerfully when observing the architecture of the buildings and offers a truly delicate continuum, continuing the work done at the previous site.
Puzzles and traps
In terms of gameplay, although fights were not shown on the map that is still in development, we were able to see the mobility and new ones in their biomes. environmental interactions. The idea is to guarantee players a myriad of possibilities: narrow places to ambush, rows of hatches for quick escapes with hooks, and wide spaces for lovers of open-air combat. All with a greater focus on verticality. The choice of the castle and the huge tower located in the desert are an example of how players want to increase the number of situations in which they can move upwards.
Two types of interactions are also included: traps and crossword. The former serve to stratify the combat and are constantly included in the setting (for example, a trick on a track in the desert or thorns in the ground in a castle), while puzzles serve as a reward for the smartest players. The developers have added some puzzles to certain settings that can offer extra legendary loot if solved. Also interesting is the new climate cycle in the game, which will make use of various biomes to add unpredictable elements that can affect the game’s progress. An example would be blizzards in the Empyrean Village area.
It will be released in game on August 19, but Holorth has the potential to be a highly appreciated map by players. The developers didn’t want to balance the map rotation issue and so we’ll have to find out if Morus Isle and Holorth can live together forever, but meanwhile, 24 Entertainment is gearing up to celebrate its first major anniversary.
