Hello Games has released a new update for No Man’s Sky, which is exactly version 3.96. The purpose of this update is to fix various bugs introduced with the free Endurance expansion. Here are the changes:
- (PC only) Fixed an issue that could cause NPCs to repeatedly repeat “16” on their first visit to a space station.
- Items collected from fleet voyages can now be stored in any inventory, not just the main cargo ship inventory.
- Cargoes collected from inactive fleet frigates can now be stored in any inventory, not just the main cargo ship inventory.
- Player Markers now show more detailed information if the player is on the cargo ship.
- Players now receive notification hints explaining how to recall or abandon cargo ships in multiplayer mode.
- The player’s current ship is now always marked while in the cargo ship hangar, even if it is very close.
- Damaged frigates can be powered up from the fleet management screen to restore their health.
- Fixed an issue that could leave players in space while on a cargo ship bound for another galaxy.
- Fixed an issue that caused the captain’s hologram to appear in the wrong place in the squadron command terminal.
- Fixed an issue that could allow frigates to teleport when viewing player purchase details.
- Fixed an issue that caused the Overseer Terminal to be missing in the Cargo Ship room.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the Rotate Part option from working properly after using the Replace Part function.
- Fixed an issue that allowed players to activate energy shields on a cargo ship.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent players from teleporting to cargo ships after manually locking them.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the Scientist NPC Specialist to get stuck in his terminal.
- Fixed a collision issue with tech room windows.
- Fixed a collision issue with the Overseer’s ship room.
- Fixed an issue that could cause the wrong entry to be saved when navigating the essential tracks list.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the “View Variants” button from working properly when browsing the core components list.
- Fixed an issue that prevented spaceships from reloading automatically.
- Fixed some crash issues with the Archaic Housing Heater.
- Fixed an issue that prevented the cargo ship’s position from updating correctly when teleporting to the ship from another teleport terminal.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Cargo Ships to load incorrectly and cause players to fall off the ground when loading a salvage from a recovery point or lighthouse on a cargo ship.
- Fixed some issues when talking to NPCs when there were mission-critical interactions that could hinder the progress of the mission, or when there were mission-critical interactions such as Nada or Artemis’s simulation terminal in Space Anomaly.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent completion of Haunt Nexus quests.
- Fixed an issue that could prevent the cargo ship from being listed as a teleport target when visiting another galaxy.
- Fixed an issue that could cause Nada to repeat ’16’ over and over.
- Fixed an issue that allowed frigates to take damage they shouldn’t.
- Fixed some crash issues with cargo ship corridors and ladders.
- Fixed some visual issues with industrial themed rooms.
- Fixed a minor visual bug with particle effects.
- Fixed an issue that caused a broken “Windowed Mode” option to appear in the console menu.
- Fixed a visual issue with asteroid creatures.
- Fixed Exocraft cargo ship terminal lighting issue.
- Fixed a number of visual errors that could occur when approaching different themed cargo ship parts.
- Improved the appearance of the icon that appears when frigate fleets are deployed to assist in space combat.
- Fixed an issue that caused some large cargo ships to not fit properly in the warp tunnel.
- Improved readability of mission statement text when using the spaceship in first person.
- Fixed some visual issues that could occur when placing other tech-themed cargo ship rooms in a Customizer room.
- Fixed a visual issue that could occur when bending over the Cargo Ship.
- Fixed an issue that caused a small pink dot to appear in the build information popup.
- Fixed a crash related to Sentinel network sync.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when loading a piece of technology when using the Storage Container UI.
- Fixed a crash with asteroids.
- Fixed a crash in NPC scan.
- Fixed a crash when loading NPC skilled workers.
- Fixed a crash that could occur when interacting with the squadron command terminal.
- Fixed a crash related to the network connection of cargo ships.
