Since the release of the PlayStation 5, Sony has paid close attention to the wishes of the public and tries to meet them as much as possible. In a blog post, he announces a new firmware version available in beta mode, reserved (for now) for a few selected players who will receive invitations by e-mail.
Sony is adding support for 1440p, which was previously unavailable in the news (games can play in Full HD or 4K, but not 2K). If the game allows it, the player can choose this new intermediate resolution. Sony has also added a feature to control display compatibility.
Note that VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) is currently not available for 1440p.
Another novelty, it is now possible to create up to 15 game lists (up to 100 entries per list) to organize your toy library as you wish and quickly access the game you want to play.
