Fredrick Wester, CEO of Paradox Interactivea published Update on the working status of tortured people Vampire: Masquerade – Bloodlines 2the title disappeared into thin air, its development possibly canceled after problems with Hardsuit Labs.
Wester’s words about the state of the game are simple and straightforward: “Bloodlines 2 is in development and we’ll tell you more when we’re ready.” Wester then went on to try and reassure the players, but always remained very vague: “The game is in good hands and we can’t wait to show you more when the team and the game are ready.”
It’s hard to say when we’ll really know the fate of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. The only thing for sure is that the version shown in recent years, the version created by Hardsuit Labs, is probably no longer available.
Consider that the game was released in 2019 and should be released shortly, but then it was delayed several times until it disappeared from the radar completely. The chief screenwriter and creative director, followed by senior narrative designer, was fired in 2020. There’s been talk of a 2022 release and a new development team lately, but at this point it’s unlikely we’ll see it later in the year.
