ElAnalistaDeBits released a new one video analytics which compares Balanced mode at 40fps from Horizon Forbidden West introduced on PS5 a few weeks ago, and others have been available since the launch of the PlayStation exclusive by Guerrilla Games.
Horizon Forbidden West Patch 1.17 was released on July 6 and VRR and balanced mode for supported displays.
As explained in the analysis by ElAnalistaDeBits, this mode brings the frame rate to 40fps while maintaining native 4K resolution. As a result, visual rendering is higher than Performance at 60fps and slightly lower than Resolution, which has a better anti-aliasing filter at the expense of a framerate fixed at 30fps.
On the other hand, there is no difference in shadows, draw distance and graphic effects. But youtuber noticed random stuttering phenomenon in all graphics modes by setting the refresh rate of the screen to 120Hz.
Also, with VRR active Horizon Forbidden West’s Performance mode can now break the 60fps mark. On average, we’re not talking about a crappy framerate increase, but in any case it’s very welcome.
If you are undecided about which better graphics mod For Horizon Forbidden West, ElAnalistaDeBits recommends Performance with VRR, especially considering the reduction in visual rendering sacrifices compared to launch thanks to Guerrilla Games’ Patch released over the past few months.
