Producer Naoki Yoshida said in an interview with Famitsu: Final Fantasy 16 will be voted into action instead of using turn-based combat system Like older episodes of the series, to make it more attractive to younger players.
“I come from a generation that grew up with turn-based RPGs. I think I understand how interesting and immersive they can be,” said Yoshida. “On the other hand, in about the last decade or so, “I don’t understand the fun of choosing commands to perform actions in video games. Yoshida later explained that the evolution of technology and graphics in video games is driving RPGs to offer more and more action-oriented mechanics.
“For several generations of consoles, all character actions can be performed in real time. Actions such as “pull the trigger and your character will draw a gun” and “press the button and your character will swing a sword” can now be easily expressed without going into a command-based system. love is now a tradition among players younger than me.
