next update PUBG: Battlegrounds, Patch 18.2will bring a host of optimizations for the console versions of Krafton’s free-to-play battle royale game. They will particularly benefit Xbox Series X and PS5: It will run at 4K and 60fps on the Microsoft console, and 1440p and 60fps on the Sony flagship.
The confirmation comes from the official notes of the update, where the developers announced that they will be presented with an option to choose whether or not to use the update. FXAA or TAA anti-aliasing filter On PS5, PS4 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox One X. The latter improves visual rendering, but can cause ghosting when the framerate drops below the 60fps threshold.
As mentioned at the beginning, PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of PUBG: Battlegrounds have also been developed. Both were running at a maximum of 1080p and 60fps, but thanks to the patch on the Xbox Series X, it will be possible to play. 4K and 60fpsOn PS5 at 1440p and 60fps (if you’re using a 4K display, otherwise the resolution drops to 1080p as the PS5 doesn’t natively support QHD output).
