Inside Kingdom Hearts 4 we can see more in action characters from the games in the series final fantasy. In an interview with GameInformer, the director of the saga, Tetsuya Nomura, explained that while not making any words written in ink, the development team is trying to find the right balance in this regard.
“I know there aren’t many Final Fantasy characters in Kingdom Hearts 3. One thing I want to clarify is that many fans say Kingdom Hearts is a collaboration between Disney characters and Final Fantasy characters. But why isn’t this the core concept of Kingdom Hearts; Kingdom Hearts isn’t exactly that‘ said Nomura.
“When we released the first game, we only had a few original Kingdom Hearts characters. When I interacted with very famous and beloved Disney characters, I felt like no one really knew these new heroes, so it was even harder for them to stand out. That’s why we’ve brought in lots of Final Fantasy characters (first in Kingdom Hearts) to help everyone get to know these characters better. ”
“There are now so many well-loved original Kingdom Hearts characters and people want to see them more often. With Kingdom Hearts 3, it was difficult to find room to include other Final Fantasy characters as we had so many original characters. It’s a good balance for that. I know some fans They were worried about it, they weren’t happy about it, and they wanted to see more Final Fantasy characters. That’s definitely something we’ve been thinking about. But with so many original characters we’ve got, it’s hard to tell now what the exact balance will be and how it will end up in Kingdom Hearts 4. We’ve yet to tell you about it. We cannot give a definite answer.”
That’s why we understand from Nomura’s words that Final Fantasy is a balancing act where more characters can steal space from Kingdom Hearts and vice versa.
