Elden Ring: data mining discovered a Vyke task, he’s the man on the cover

According to what the data miner discovered, Hand Ring there was one mission for vyke, the character that appears on the cover. Unfortunately it was discontinued. FromSoftware probably had other plans for him initially, but eventually relegated him to an extra role as an invading mini-boss. Defeating him gains his armor and spear.

Vyke deserved the cover, but he’s just an extra in the game

Vyke was one of the game’s biggest mysteries from the very beginning. Why do you put a trivial character on the cover? Now me Data Miner They found the answer: An aborted quest chain was related to it.

There are several lines of dubbed dialogue in Gostoc that refer to Vyke himself. Unfortunately not much material is available and no text or lines of dialogue for the actual quest have been found, but the spawn point suggests that the player can be summoned to help face a boss in Stormveil Castle.

The quest would have some dialogue options and offer various rewards cut from the game, including nameless items. You can also see Vyke’s face in the video posted above.
Unfortunately, it’s perfectly normal for some content to be cut off in video games, either to lighten production or simply because they don’t work as well in practice as they do on paper. What is certain is that in this case the fiction is highly relevant as a cover character.
