Unfortunately, the option doesn’t work yet, meaning it doesn’t actually let you download the PS5 version and it does lead to an error message, though it may suggest that the launch may now be imminent. The same Twitter user, on the contrary, states that there is no option to upgrade Resident Evil 2 and 7 yet, so perhaps the third episode will be the first to remake the appearance.
At the beginning of March, Capcom announced that Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7 on PS5 and Xbox Series X | It announced the S versions with free upgrades for those who already own it on older generation consoles. In the latter case, all the recordings from PS4 and Xbox One to PS5 and Xbox Series X | It will be possible to transfer to S. The same applies to all previously purchased DLCs.
