These days, an old one has resurfaced online awaiting a new presentation of Final Fantasy 16. video who created Comparison between Final Fantasy 16 and DMC 5’s combat system, action game from Capcom. You can see the video above.
The video is taken from P44 / GPRS, a channel with over 4,300 subscribers. In over a year and a half, the video had only 7,000 views and a little more. In other words, it had sneaked past. However, this is an interesting video and unfortunately, still up to date because we haven’t seen another Final Fantasy 16 trailer since the one shown in this video.
If you don’t understand why the comparison is made by Final Fantasy 16 and DMC 5, the answer is simple: Ryota SuzukiThe head of the team that created the game’s combat system from Capcom has been hired by Square Enix and is apparently working on Final Fantasy 16.
The comparison video shows the various moves shown during the Final Fantasy 16 trailer and shows how very similar attacks and combos are in DMC 5. Obviously this isn’t a 1:1 replica of the Devil May Cry character’s moves. But this comparison gives us a full view of the actions of Final Fantasy 16’s protagonist, and shows that the Square Enix movie, while unique, really does contain a lot of information.
But keep in mind that we know very little about the game and we shouldn’t rush to draw conclusions, as the video comparison at the end suggests. For example, one of Final Fantasy 16’s command entry system Simpler than DMC 5, accessible even to less experienced action game players.
Also, Final Fantasy recommends as a rule: party members: we didn’t see them in the first trailer, but it’s possible that there are combo mechanics with allies and that’s why (they’re available in Final Fantasy 15, for example). Finally, there’s also the possibility that Final Fantasy 16 will let you choose more Classes / Jobs to choose from, which could change the unified system.
