Some of the top developers Final Fantasy 16 apparently worked on a similar asymmetrical multiplayer game before transmitted through bloodeventually deleted Square Enix.
According to this Naoki YoshidaOne of the heads of the Final Fantasy 16 project, both he and several other main developers of Square Enix worked on a fantasy game that was described in the words: “Basically, it was Bloodborne.” This information is from Yoshida’s Famitsu column “Yoshida Uncensored” translated by a fan on ResetEra.
This Bloodborne-like game was apparently in development for about a year before Yoshida and the rest of the team moved on to running Final Fantasy 14 A Realm Reborn. According to Yoshida, it was “a pretty hardcore action game”. “If we had just kept going and Bloodborne had come out first, we would probably have gone crazy by now,” said Minagawa, one of the people involved in the project. “It had the same guns and pistols. And it was Gothic style,” said Takai, Yoshida jokingly, “Where have I seen this before…?

Some fans speculate that this may have influenced the design of Final Fantasy 16. Takai, one of the directors of Final Fantasy 16, also worked as the designer of Devil May Cry V, so it is assumed that the game will be quite action-packed.
