As you know this week Fall of Babylon hit a new negative record: at one point, globally on Steam single active player. Now we know who he is: his name Dashiel Wood and is a video game journalist.
By excitementWood explained it after retweeting a VGC story reporting the issue.
The reporter then began to speak. joke about it, wrote the line “The strongest soldier in the Square. The only player of Babylon’s Fall on May 4, 2022, 00:00” in his Twitter bio. He also confirmed that he deserved the title by purchasing the collector’s editions of the company’s other two major failings, Left Alive and Balan Wonderworld.
He published a very short book describing his experience in Babylon’s Fall. Video from Splinter Cell, in which the protagonist says “So it’s just me”. You can see it below.
Frankly, from a gamer’s perspective, this is ridiculously fun, but we’re sure it’s not exactly a good time for Square Enix and PlatinumGames.
Greg Miller, who constantly talks about Square Enix, confirms the rumors that it was bought by PlayStation.
