Rabbit and Bear developer stands evaluation technical feasibility of a port Eiyuden Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes for Nintendo Switch. For those who don’t know, this is the spiritual successor to the Suikoden series, which was funded via Kickstarter and announced for PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
At campaign time Kickstarter, the studio said it will bring Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes to Nintendo’s next console due to the Nintendo Switch’s limitations too much. But it has now taken a step back and released an update for the launch of Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, a prequel that will also be released on the Nintendo console, noting that the Nintendo Switch version of Hundred Heroes is not excluded.
“While Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes isn’t certain to launch on Nintendo Switch, we’re doing some technological analysis to improve it.“
Of course, as stated, this should not be taken as a confirmation. There is interest, however, and it’s clear, because a game like Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes might sell better on Nintendo Switch than on other consoles, especially in Japan, where the installed base is huge.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is available today for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Those playing on Nintendo Switch will be able to enjoy the content cross-platform with any other platform. Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is scheduled to hit theaters next year.
