As of 31 March 2022, Resident Evil Village has sold 6.1 million copies. The figure emerged from Capcom’s most recent financial report for fiscal year 2022 close. The latest Resident Evil was released in May 2021.

This given refers to the global sales of the title and includes both physical and digital copies. It’s worth noting that the game sold about 400,000 more copies, given that there were 5.7 million copies being mentioned at the time, compared to what was reported in January.

It should be noted that when considering discounts and various offers, the data on units sold helps to understand the distribution of the title, not their actual revenue.

Resident Evil Village is available on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PC, PS4, Xbox One and Stadia. The figure is part of a broader report on the performance of the Japanese company, which has again recorded record profits thanks to new launches and top-selling catalog titles.
