So if I have to clarify, I’ll be buying the PS5 versions, so don’t worry. I’ve been a longtime PlayStation fan, but while PlayStation has always had some very charismatic people running the PlayStation brand, I feel like Jim Ryan thinks like a suit and only cares about numbers.
Now that’s perfect, if we weren’t going through a pandemic and there was a shortage and I wouldn’t have a problem with this move even if it was Sony (because that means gamers will be able to buy next-gen consoles and no need to worry, but because of the pandemic, most people who still own a PS4 aren’t getting a PS5.
But so many gamers, who can’t have a PlayStation 5 and are forced to stick to last-gen consoles somehow, shouldn’t be punished by market shortages, inflation, and disease outbreaks.
Sony controls won’t dry out, used game discs, etc. Consider E3 when he announced he wouldn’t force it.
