Last Wednesday (27) the public got to know the four best teams of this edition of the Copa Elite Six of America, “Libertadores do R6”. W7M Esports, Team Liquid, Team oNe and FURIA Esports are still alive and kicking for the title and are already qualified for the Six Major next month in Charlotte, USA. For the fourth time in a row, the Brazilians have dominated yet another continental competition that features the best teams in the Latin American region.
Now the four Brazilian teams decide, between Friday (29) and Sunday (1), who will finish with the Copa Elite Six of America title. The tournament shares a total prize pool of Rs 280,000 in addition to points in the global ranking which determines the qualifiers for the next edition of the Six Invitational, the main event of the modality’s competitive calendar.
In the winners bracket, W7M and Liquid are the first teams to qualify for the Major and are the only undefeated teams in the championship. Thanks to solid campaigns, these two reach the final moments of the tournament without losing a single map.
Already Team oNe and FURIA, two other Brazilian representatives in “Libertadores do R6”, have guaranteed their presence at the Six Major and are still alive in the continental competition after falling to the lower bracket – precisely with losses to W7M and Team Liquid – but won their commitments in repechage against Argentinean Furious Gaming and PAMPAS respectively.
On Friday (29) the Bulls and Cavalry will face off to see which team will advance directly to the US Elite Six Cup Grand Final. The loser of this match will still have a chance to decide if they win the last match valid for repechage against the winner of the match between Team oNe and FURIA.
The consolation final will take place on Saturday (30). The winner of this duel will play in the Copa Elite Six of America Grand Final in MD5 (best of five maps) on Sunday (1). In addition to the title, the champion will receive 135,000 reais in prize money. The final stage, as well as throughout the competition, will be broadcast on the official Rainbow Six Esports Brazil channels on Twitch and YouTube.
