Konami Digital Entertainment Inc. announced that the official eSports competition using eFootball™ 2022, “eFootball™ Championship 2022”, will take place in June. The eFootball™ 2022 Championship is an esports competition open to many players, from beginners to professionals. Since we changed the name of the game to “eFootball™”, we have also renamed this competition, formerly known as “E-Football League”, to “E-Football Championship”.
There will be two competitions: one of them will be the “eFootball™ Championship Pro 2022”, which will feature professional esports league players signed by European professional football clubs; the other, “eFootball™ Championship Open 2022”, is an esports competition open to players of all skill levels.
Professional “eFootball Championship Pro” players and regular “eFootball Championship Open” players will compete for the new “Dream Team” game mode. We will announce the participating clubs and the schedule for the two competitions at a later date.
This is a professional league in which esports players signed by European football clubs will take part. Professional players will be selected from among the best players in the world and compete 1v1 in the new eFootball™ 2022 Dream Team mode to win the league. All games will be streamed online around the world.
2022 eFootball Championship Qualifiers Begin in June
eFootball™ and Championship Open 2022 are the largest official esports tournaments using the eFootball™ 2022 series and open to users from all over the world. Users will not need to participate in Round 1 starting in June 2022. All users can have fun simply by taking part in the corresponding in-game competition.
In previous seasons, more than 8 million users around the world took part in the aforementioned “eFootball Open. Using the Dream Team game mode, the best players will be eligible to participate in higher and higher levels of competition, culminating in the “World Final” in which the number 1 player will be crowned.
