2K Games could become a Rocket League competitor

2K Games is developing a competitor for Rocket League known as Gravity Target, says industry whistleblower Tom Henderson.

Writing for eXputer, Henderson said the game will feature “throne” light-cycle motorcycles rather than cars, but is largely based on the Rocket League formula. In 1 v 1, 2 v 2 and 3 v 3 matches, players attempted to score a goal by kicking the ball into the opposing goal on a motorbike.

Gravity Target will also add discs that players can use to hit, damage, slow down, and potentially even stop their targets’ opponents’ cars. These wheels are said to look like “hockey packs with dazzling LED lights”, and the speed of the vehicles involved will affect the amount of damage each inflicts and takes.

The game’s aesthetic is said to be based on futuristic neon-lit visuals, from arenas to cars.
