First, it should be noted that the “Basic Decisions” setting in this guide only applies to offline games. The Basic Running Decisions setting is often overlooked in Path to the Show, as players can only control their own player.
To access this option, navigate to the Advanced Beat and Baserunning settings. There, players can set their basic race decisions options to “Assist” or “Auto”.
Although this year’s “Guide” game doesn’t have a specific option, the Assist Baserunning Decisions option seems to do the trick as it puts players in control of all Baserunning decisions. As mentioned earlier, this is a standard set for all MLB The Show 22 online.
On the other hand, the Auto Baserunning Decisions option allows the processor to handle almost all base functions that cause problems.
As a result, the best way to base is to never rely on the ‘send all’ or ‘stop all’ options and instead manually check runners one by one and send them to bases as you see fit.
