Home to an ardent legion of fans and players of the Mortal Kombat franchise, Brazil hosts many tournaments organized by the enthusiasts themselves. With its recent launch in September this year, Mortal Kombat 1 is no exception and several tournaments are already being independently promoted by fans and players in the country.
With this scenario in mind, Warner Bros. Games will select eight tournaments promoted by the Brazilian community to compete. Community Championsin which the winner will compete for the last remaining spot in the Mortal Kombat 1, Final Kombat global tournament, which will take place in 2024 as part of the Last Chance Qualifying (LCQ).
If the winner of each selected tournament is already classified in Community Champions by someone else, the place will move to second place and so on.

Independent tournaments that will qualify for Community Champions will also be co-streamed on Warner Play, YouTube and TikTok profiles. Six of the eight tournaments that will be in contention have already been confirmed, as follows:

With two spots available for official registration, Warner Games is inviting the Brazilian Mortal Kombat community to organize and create their own tournaments, with a chance to be chosen to attend the LCQ.
The dispute is over Community Champions will take place the day after Brazil’s Latin League final, another way for Brazilian players to qualify for the World Cup. The continental tournament guarantees 4 spots for Final Kombat, one of which is reserved exclusively for the Brazilian champion.
Another route to the World Championships in Brazil is the local Pro Competition, which guarantees the top 9 ranked players in the points rankings a spot in Final Kombat. Points are guaranteed for players at the Brazilian stage of the competition, which will take place in Sao Paulo, as well as at local tournaments such as the Latin League stages.
All three stages and the Liga Latina Brasil final, Pro Kompetition Brasil stage, eight community tournaments and the top 8 that guarantee a trip to the LCQ will be broadcast by Warner Play on its YouTube channel.
